when the sun’s rays streak down the horizon,
we enjoy its warmth,
and all we can do is breathe.

when the clouds roll in and the wind starts howling,
we bow and shiver,
and all we can do is breathe.

when the raindrops fall and the world gets drenched,
we run for cover,
