I have been developing software applications for more than 8 years. Having developed software for servers, desktops, and micro-controller/processor circuits, my specialty lies in web applications and their underlying, often intricate, layers and technologies. I enjoy solving, and in some cases, avoiding the challenges and limitations of web-based applications - primarily brought about by the fact that the web’s client-server/request-response architecture does not allow the same granular control and high level of interactivity that are available in other platforms of software development. Because of this, I have come to appreciate the freedom that web applications allow software developers.
While many projects I’ve completed (or not) are too trivial to mention too much in detail, I would like to briefly describe a few key projects that I consider milestones for the fact that they have allowed me to develop and attain a higher standing after its completion.

As much as I would like to mention all noteworthy projects, I have left a few out because the agencies that ran those projects would not allow the disclosure of such information.
Why am I in this field? Engineering software is a constant learning process, and in my opinion, one of the most challenging professions – even more challenging than a medical doctor. Software is what drives everything, and it is the only field that continuously evolves at the breakneck pace that has seen so many once-standard technologies become obsolete in a matter of weeks. From cars to medical devices, electrical appliances to the internet – software is truly ubiquitous and it is a component of our lives which has become a necessity for our existence. Being in this field allows me to continually satisfy my insatiable thirst for knowledge. It also allows me to tackle difficult and complex problems head-on. More importantly, however, I get to influence the way we live and work, to actually make a difference in the world, to make it a better place.
